Sofie Grud is the instructor of Som Strå / Like straw, where the young artist Lærke struggles in her refuge to complete a new major work for her upcoming exhibition. But a deeper struggle unfolds within her. Perfectionism and control hold her back, but when an older artist checks into the studio next to Lærke at the artists' refuge in Skagen (Northern Denmark), Lærke is challenged to let go - both in relation to art and life.
